Surfacing Our Wisdom:

A Yoga, Art, and Hot Springs Retreat

Thank you so much for expressing interest in Surfacing Our Wisdom: A Yoga, Art, and Hot Springs Retreat, facilitated by Erin Hansbrough, yoga teacher, and Roxie Ehlert, art therapist. If you are interested in joining us for this retreat, the first step is to fill out this form! We’d love to get to know a little bit more about you and your goals for attending. We’d also like to share a bit more about our vision for this space!

In a time of increased authoritarian violence, fear, exhaustion, and uncertainty, our desire is to offer a nourishing cocoon in which to reconnect to ourselves and to community. Using the tools of gentle movement, art making, sound healing, and soaking in beautiful natural hot springs, we hope to open space for physical and emotional release, restoration, and integration. These intentional practices will be holistically woven together with the aim of helping you reconnect to your own deepest inner wisdom.

Given the impact of these times on our lives and bodies, we aim to create a space that is lovingly shaped by principles of queer and trans liberation, racial justice, and disability justice. Some limited lower fee spots are available for trans, nonbinary, and BIPOC participants. If you’re interested in one of these spots, please indicate that on the form below.

As teachers, we do not claim to be experts in how to integrate anti-oppressive values into healing practice; however we felt it important to express our intentions about the time we share together. We aim to create a space big enough and deep enough to hold our collective fear, anger, and grief. This is a space for messiness, pleasure, and play, for feeling and letting go, for moments of stillness in deep waters, and for connection with others who are committed to personal healing and collective liberation.

Once we’ve received your responses to the questions posted here, we will send you the information you need to register. In order for us to reserve your spot, we will send you a password and the link to pay a non-refundable $200 deposit. If you prefer to pay in full all at once, please let us know. Please note, the registration fee covers all retreat activities, including yoga, art-making, sound bath, riverfront hot springs soaking, and snacks. Meals and lodging are not included. We are happy to send links to affordable places to stay and local food recommendations. We can’t wait to gather with you!

With gratitude and excitement,

Erin and Roxie
